How to delete all screenshots on iPhone at once
Updated October 2026 · 3 min read
Boarding passes, recipes, memes, error messages: screenshots are useful for a day and then sit in your library for years. Here's how to clear them quickly.
Method 1: the Screenshots album
- Open Photos and scroll to Media Types.
- Tap Screenshots.
- Tap Select, then drag your finger across the thumbnails to select many at once. Drag to the top or bottom edge to keep selecting while it scrolls.
- Tap the trash button and confirm.
Before deleting everything, scroll through once. Screenshots sometimes hold things you'll want later, like receipts, tickets or recovery codes.
Method 2: review screenshots by month with Emberoll
- Open Emberoll and tap Screenshots.
- Screenshots are grouped by month, so you can clear old months in one go and look closely at recent ones.
- Tap any screenshot you want to keep to deselect it, then tap Delete and confirm.
Free the space
Deleted screenshots stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days. Empty it from Photos → Utilities → Recently Deleted if you need the space now.
Keep them from piling up
- After taking a screenshot, tap the preview in the corner and choose Done → Delete Screenshot if you only needed it for a moment.
- Use Emberoll's daily 2-minute cleanup to catch new clutter before it builds up.
Do it in two minutes with Emberoll
Emberoll finds duplicates, similar shots, screenshots, large videos and blurry photos for you. Everything is analyzed on your iPhone.
