EmberollPrivacy Policy

In short: Emberoll works entirely on your device. We don't collect, store, sell or share any personal data, and your photos never leave your iPhone or iPad.
Who we are
Emberoll ("the app") is developed by GET THE APP LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the app handles information. If you have questions, write to support@emberoll.com.
Your photos and videos
To find duplicates, similar shots, screenshots, large videos and blurry photos, the app needs access to your photo library, which you grant through iOS. With that access:
- All analysis happens on your device using Apple's on-device frameworks (Photos and Vision).
- Your photos, videos and their metadata are never uploaded to us or to any third party.
- If you use iCloud Photos, iOS may download previews of items stored in your iCloud so the app can show and analyze them. This transfer is between your device and Apple and is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
- Photos are deleted only when you confirm it in the iOS dialog. Deleted items move to the Recently Deleted album, where you can restore them for 30 days.
You can change or revoke photo access at any time in Settings → Apps → Emberoll → Photos.
Information stored on your device
The app keeps a small amount of information locally so it can work, for example which items you've already reviewed or chosen to keep, your cleanup history, your daily streak, cached analysis results, and your settings. This information:
- stays on your device and is not sent to us;
- may be included in your device backups (iCloud or computer), which are handled by Apple;
- is removed when you delete the app.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app schedules local reminders on your device: an evening reminder for the 2-minute cleanup and, during a free trial, a reminder two days before it ends. These are created on your device; we don't use push notification servers.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details. The app only checks with the App Store whether your purchase is active. Apple's handling of purchase data is described in Apple's privacy policy.
What we don't do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No analytics, tracking or advertising SDKs.
- No collection of contacts, location, identifiers or usage data.
- No selling or sharing of data, because we don't have any.
Children
The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country).
Your rights
Because we don't collect or hold personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete on your behalf. Data stored by the app lives on your device and you control it. You can delete it by removing the app. If you contact us by email, we use your message only to reply, and we delete it on request.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles information, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
